Easy Starter Plants for Home and Wellness

There are Indoor Plants for Everyone

Have you ever wanted indoor plants in your home for their aesthetic beauty or air purification benefits but you’ve been pessimistic about trying to grow plants? You don’t have to be one of those people anymore. The key to keeping plants alive and thriving is scheduled watering, plant food and location.

Scheduled Watering

These days it is so easy to schedule your watering. If you can’t set a habit like water plants every Monday, try scheduling a recurring reminder in your phone. I do recommend looking at the soil to make sure it’s dry to verify your plant needs water. Check the watering instructions for your plant to create your watering schedule.

Plant Food

Plants will survive without plant food but when you give them some food they thrive and become more vibrant. Some species have specific food for them as well.

Location

Believe it or not some plants do not need a sunny location. Check the lighting specifics for your plant to make sure you find the right location for its’ maximum growth. Every once in a while, I have a plant that just struggles, sometimes just moving it to another location in my home helps the plant to thrive.

Where to Buy Plants

You can buy plants at many retailers. Places like Home Depot and Lowes have a huge selection of plants to grow indoors all year round. Nurseries will also have a good selection of indoor plants.
